Dear System Users,
The District of Columbia Department of Employment Services (DOES) is pleased to announce the implementation of ID.me Single Sign-On (SSO) for accessing DCNetworks and the Unemployment Insurance Benefits System (UIBS).
What is Changing?
Beginning Thursday, September 4, 2025, all users will log in to DCNetworks and the UIBS using the new ID.me SSO system.
Why the Change?
The new system will:
- Simplify Access: Use one set of credentials to access both DCNetworks and the UIBS, eliminating the need to manage multiple usernames and passwords.
- Enhance Security: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will protect your account from unauthorized access.
What Do You Need to Do?
- If you have created an ID.me account within the past 12 months, you are ready to go! Use your existing credentials to log in.
- If you do not remember your password, visit ID.me to reset it or chat with a representative for assistance.
- ID.me can also be used for other services, including accessing the IRS or SSA.
Need Help?
- For assistance with your ID.me account, visit help.ID.me to explore self-service options, submit a support ticket, or chat with an agent.
- For help with your DC Unemployment Insurance Benefits, contact DOES at 202-724-7000. (Please note: DOES representatives cannot change or reset ID.me passwords.)
We appreciate your cooperation as we transition to this enhanced system. Thank you for allowing the Department of Employment Services to continue serving you.
Sincerely, DC Department of Employment Services
