Traffic Advisory: DDOT Bridge Inspections from Aug. 18 to Aug. 22

(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is temporarily closing single lanes on the following roadways for bridge inspections during the week of August 18 to August 22:

Kenilworth Avenue Freeway near Foote Street NE, alternating right and left lane closures of Northbound and Southbound Kenilworth Avenue Freeway near Foote Street NE on Monday, August 18 through Friday, August 22, 2025, during the hours of 10:00AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

9th Street Expressway from C Street SW to D Street SW, alternating right and left lane closures of 9th Street Expressway from C Street SW to D Street SW on Monday, August 18 through Friday, August 22, 2025, during the hours of 10:00AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow for additional travel time, and consider alternative routes.

Traffic controls, including signage, will be in place to guide motorists safely through the work zones. All roadway users are advised to stay alert and be observant of signage and work zones while traveling in this area.
