Weekday Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge Inspections Beginning June 30, 2025

(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is temporarily closing single lanes on the following roadways for bridge inspections:

14th Street Bridge/Northbound I-395 over the Potomac River, a left lane closure of 14th Street Bridge/Northbound I-395 over the Potomac River on Monday, June 30, 2025, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

East Capitol Street between the Anacostia Freeway and 35th Street NE, alternating right and left lanes of Eastbound East Capitol Street between the Anacostia Freeway and 35th Street NE followed by alternating right and left lanes of Westbound East Capitol Street between the Anacostia Freeway and 35th Street NE on Monday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 1, 2025, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow for additional travel time, and consider alternative routes.

Traffic controls, including signage, will be in place to guide motorists safely through the work zones. All roadway users are advised to stay alert and be observant of signage and work zones while traveling in this area.
