Traffic Advisory: Upcoming DC PLUG Feeder 14702 Lane and Sidewalk Closures
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises stakeholders to expect delays due to upcoming sidewalk and lane closures for work related to the DC Power Line Undergrounding (DC PLUG) initiative.
Sidewalk and Lane closures are listed below and take place on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Temporary northbound sidewalk and lane closures for TE, TH, conduit and manhole installation from 1300-1400 blocks of 28th Street SE, between N Street SE and Pennsylvania Avenue SE from June 23, 2025, to June 30, 2025.
- Temporary eastbound and westbound sidewalk and lane closures for conduit and manhole from the 2700 to 3000 blocks of O Street SE between 27th Street SE and Branch Avenue SE from June 25, 2025, to June 30, 2025
- Temporary northbound and southbound sidewalk and lane closures for conduit and manhole installation from the 1300 block of 29th Street SE between O Street and Nash Place SE, June 25, 2025, to June 30, 2025
- Temporary northbound and southbound sidewalk and lane closures for conduit and manhole installation from the 1300 block of 30th Street SE between O Street and Anacostia Road SE, June 25, 2025, to June 30, 2025
- Temporary eastbound and westbound sidewalk and lane closures for conduit and manhole installation from the 2800 to 3000 blocks of N Street SE, between 28th Street and 31st Place SE, June 25, 2025, to June 30, 2025
- Temporary eastbound sidewalk and lane closures for conduit and manhole installation from the 2900 block of Nash Place SE between 29th Street and 30th Street, SE, June 25, 2025, to June 30, 2025.
This work is necessary to complete the DC PLUG initiative’s Feeder 14702 project which consists of undergrounding powerlines for a more resilient DC.
