New: Save the Date – Discipline Collection Training Coming Aug. 13 and Aug. 20
OSSE's Division of Data, Assessment, and Research (DAR) will host two training sessions focused on the annual discipline collection for those who are new to the discipline collection or would just like a refresher. These sessions are ideal for new LEA data managers, school leaders and discipline points of contact. However, anyone who works with the OSSE discipline collection is welcome to attend. The same content will be presented both in-person and virtually so you can choose the format that works best for you. The virtual session will be recorded for future use. The following sessions will be offered:
In-person: Wednesday, Aug. 13, 10–11:30 a.m. OSSE Main, Eleanor Holmes Norton I Conference Room 1050 First St. NE, Washington, DC 20002
Online: Wednesday, Aug. 20, 1–2:30 p.m.
Registration will open in mid-July. For questions, contact Jenni Russell Ziarnik at osse.data@dc.gov.
New: Course Data Collection Updates
For LEAs that have Unified Data Errors (UDEs) in the Student and Section Course Collection data that need to be resolved by resubmitting Course Catalog Collection data, the Integrated Data Submission (IDS) process for the Course Catalog Collection data will be reopened for resubmission from May 27 through June 6 at 5 p.m. Please note that the new submission will completely over-write previous submissions, so the entire spreadsheet of Course Catalog Collection data will need to be re-submitted, not just changes.
Once the Course Catalog Collection data has been resubmitted, there will be a delay in resolving the UDEs, as it takes some time for all of the applications to sync. Please plan to resubmit the Course Catalog Collection data as early as possible in the submission window, to allow time to review the impact on the Student and Section Course data and ensure that UDEs are resolved.
LEAs can also schedule a one-on-one meeting for assistance using this link. For additional information or questions, please email Whitney Meagher at Whitney.Meagher@dc.gov.
