Roadway Project on Maine Avenue SW From 12th Street SW to I-395 South Ramp Begins May 19

(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is scheduled to begin resurfacing work on Maine Avenue SW from 12^th Street SW to I-395 South Ramp starting on or about Monday, May 19, 2025. Concrete work will take place between 9:30 am to 3:30 pm and milling and paving operations work will occur between 7:00 pm to 5:00 am, Monday through Friday, weather permitting.

The roadway project is anticipated to be completed by Friday, June 20, 2025. Temporary lane closures are to be expected with one travel lane remaining open.

The contractor may work Saturdays (daytime) with prior DDOT approval.

Adjacent curbside parking may be restricted during the repair work. If so, signs will be posted at least 72 hours in advance at locations where parking will be restricted.
