Traffic Advisory: Upcoming DC PLUG Feeder 14702 Lane and Sidewalk Closures
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises stakeholders to expect delays due to upcoming sidewalk and lane closures for work related to the DC Power Line Undergrounding (DC PLUG) initiative from May 14 to May 31.
Sidewalk and Lane closures are listed below and take place on weekdays from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM:
- Temporary northbound sidewalk and lane closures at the 1600-1800 blocks of 29th Street SE, between Q Street SE and Texas Avenue SE, from May 14, 2025, to May 31, 2025.
- Temporary eastbound sidewalk and lane closures at the 2800-2900 blocks of S Street SE, between 28th Place SE and 30th Street SE, from May 14, 2025, to May 31, 2025.
- Temporary eastbound sidewalk and lane closures from the 2800 block of Texas Avenue SE, between 28th Street and 29th Street SE, from May 14, 2025, to May 31, 2025.
This work is necessary to complete the DC PLUG initiative’s Feeder 14702 project which consists of undergrounding power lines for a more resilient DC.
