Temporary Closure of Westbound Theodore Roosevelt Bridge (I-66) on May 9
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close the westbound lanes of the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge (I-66) and associated access ramps for approximately 15 minutes on Friday, May 9, between 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM.
This brief closure is necessary to relocate the Movable Barrier Machine in preparation for the upcoming Rehabilitation of the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge Project.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and use alternate routes during the closure window. DDOT encourages all travelers to stay alert and follow posted signage for safe and efficient travel through the area.
Traffic controls, including signage, will be in place to guide motorists safely through the work zones. All roadway users are advised to stay alert and be observant of signage and work zones while traveling in this area.
