May 2025 DC Plug Feeder 14702 Traffic Advisory
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises stakeholders to expect delays due to upcoming sidewalk closures for work related to the DC Power Line Undergrounding (DC PLUG) initiative.
Sidewalk and Lane closures are listed below and take place on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Temporary northbound and southbound sidewalks, lane and road closures for milling and paving from 1600-1700 blocks of 22nd Street SE between S Street and Q Street SE from May 12, 2025, to May 31, 2025.
- Temporary eastbound and westbound sidewalks, lane and road closures for milling and paving from the 1900-2000 blocks of Ridge Place SE, between 19th Street SE and 24th Place SE from May 12, 2025, to May 31, 2025.
- Temporary northbound and southbound sidewalks and lane closures from the 1400 to 1600 blocks of 25th Street, SE between R Street SE and Minnesota Avenue SE from May 1, 2025, to May 31, 2025.
- Temporary northbound and southbound sidewalks and lane closures from the 1600 block of 26th Place SE between R and Q Street SE from May 1, 2025, to May 31, 2025.
- Temporary westbound and eastbound sidewalks and lane closures from the 2300-2500 blocks of Q Street SE between 23rd Street and 26th Street SE from May 1, 2025, to May 31, 2025.
- Temporary eastbound and westbound sidewalks and lane closures from the 2500 block of Palmer Place SE between 25th Street SE and the dead-end of Palmer Place from May 1, 2025, to May 31, 2025.
- Temporary northbound and southbound sidewalks and lane closures from the 1600-1800 blocks of 28th Street SE between Q Street and Texas Avenue SE from May 1, 2025, to May 31, 2025.
This work is necessary to complete the DC PLUG initiative’s Feeder 14702 project which consists of undergrounding powerlines for a more resilient DC.
