Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge and Tunnel Inspections Beginning March 25

(WASHINGTON, DC) —The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:

9^th Street Expressway under C Street, alternating right and left lane closures of 9^th Street Expressway, S.W. under C Street on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Ramp from Independence Avenue, S.W. to 9^th Street Expressway, S.W. under C Street, a narrowing lane closure of the ramp from Independence Avenue, S.W. to 9^th Street Expressway, S.W. under C Street on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

New York Avenue over Amtrak Railroad, alternating right and left lane closures of Eastbound New York Avenue over Amtrak Railroad followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Westbound New York Avenue over Amtrak Railroad on Tuesday, March 26, 2025, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.  Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
