Temporary Lane Closures in Multiple Locations
Week of March 3 - 7

(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:

Northbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295 NB) under 11^th Street SE and Ramp from Southbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295 SB) to 11^th Street, S.E., alternating right and left lane closures of Northbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295 NB) under 11^th Street SE. and Ramp from Southbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295 SB) to 11^th Street SE on Monday and Tuesday, March 3 and 4, 2025, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Ramp from Northbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295 NB) to Northbound I-695 under 11^th Street SE, alternating right and left lane closures of ramp from Northbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295 NB) to Northbound I-695 under 11^thStreet SE on Monday and Tuesday, March 3 and 4, 2025, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Ramp from Southbound I-695 to Southbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295 SB) under 11^th Street SE, alternating right and left lane closures of ramp from Southbound I-695 to Southbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295 SB) to under 11^thStreet SE on Monday and Tuesday, March 3 and 4, 2025, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Anacostia Freeway over the CSX Railyard, alternating right and left lane closures of Northbound Anacostia Freeway over the CSX Railyard followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Southbound Anacostia Freeway over the CSX Railyard on Thursday and Friday, March 6 and 7, 2025, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Kenilworth Avenue/Anacostia Freeway under Eastern Avenue NE, alternating right and left lane closures of Northbound Kenilworth Avenue/Anacostia Freeway under Eastern Avenue, NE followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Southbound Kenilworth Avenue/Anacostia Freeway under Eastern Avenue NE on Thursday and Friday, March 6 and 7, 2025, during the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

9th Street Expressway under D Street SW, alternating right and left lane closures of 9th Street Expressway under D Street SW on Thursday and Friday, March 6 and 7, 2025, during the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Ramp from Southbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295 SB) to 11^th Street SE over Northbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295 NB), alternating right and left lane closures of ramp from Southbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295 SB) to 11^thStreet SE over Northbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295 NB) on Friday, March 7 during the hours of 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

11^th Street SE over Northbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295 NB) and Connector Roadways, alternating right and left lane closures of Northbound and Southbound 11^th Street SE over Northbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295 NB) and Connector Roadways on Friday, March 7 during the hours of 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Ramp from I-695 Southbound to Northbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295 NB) over I-295 Connector Roadways, alternating right and left lane closures of ramp from I-695 Southbound to Northbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295 NB)over I-295 Connector Roadways on Friday, March 7 during the hours of 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.  Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
