Traffic Advisory: Upcoming DC PLUG Feeder 15166 Sidewalk Closures
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises stakeholders to expect delays due to upcoming sidewalk closures for work related to the DC Power Line Undergrounding (DC PLUG) initiative.
Sidewalk closures are listed below and take place on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m:
Temporary westbound sidewalk closure from the Unit block to 500 block of Malcolm X Avenue SE between the Ramp and Martin Luther King Jr., Avenue, SE from February 10, 2025, to March 10, 2025.
Temporary eastbound sidewalk closure from the 500 to 400 blocks of Mellon Street SE between 4th Street SE and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE from February 10, 2025, to March 10, 2025.
Temporary eastbound sidewalk closures from the 200 block of Orange Street SE between 2nd Street, SE, and 4th Street, SE from February 17, 2025, to March 17, 2025.
This work is necessary to complete the DC PLUG initiative’s Feeder 15166 project which consists of undergrounding powerlines for a more resilient DC.
