(WASHINGTON, DC) —The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:
E Street Expressway, N.W. under 23rd Street, N.W., alternating right and left lane closures of Eastbound E Street Expressway, N.W. under 23rd Street, N.W. followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Westbound E Street Expressway, N.W. under 23rd Street, N.W. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, during the hours of 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
I-395 Eastbound under 7th Street, S.W., alternating right and left lanes of I-395 Eastbound under 7th Street, S.W. on Thursday, January 30, 2025, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
Ramp from the 9th Street Expressway to I-395 Eastbound under 7th Street, S.W., a partial lane closure of the ramp from the 9th Street Expressway to I-395 Eastbound under 7th Street, S.W. on Thursday, January 30, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
I-395 Westbound under 7th Street, S.W., alternating right and left lanes of I-395 Westbound under 7th Street, S.W. on Thursday, January 30, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
Suitland Parkway under the Pedestrian Bridge near Stanton Road, S.E., alternating right and left lane closures of Northbound Suitland Parkway under the Pedestrian Bridge near Stanton Road, S.E. followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Southbound Suitland Parkway under the Pedestrian Bridge near Stanton Road, S.E. on Friday, January 31, 2025, during the hours of 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
South Capitol Street under Malcom X Avenue, S.E., alternating right and left lane closures of Northbound South Capitol Street under Malcom X Avenue, S.E. followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Southbound South Capitol Street under Malcom X Avenue, S.E. on Friday, January 31, 2025, during the hours of 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
