Temporary Road Closures Along 16th Street NW on Dec. 14
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will implement a temporary road closure for construction work related to the Rehabilitation of 16th Street Bridge over Piney Branch NW Project along northbound right lanes of 16th Street NW between Arkansas Avenue NW and Spring Road NW, and Piney Branch Parkway, on Saturday, December 14 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting. Drivers are advised to follow roadway signs to navigate around the construction zone.
Northbound and southbound traffic will be permitted within the work hours. Emergency vehicles and pedestrians will maintain access throughout the construction period. Alleys will also be accessible throughout construction hours.
Traffic controls and signage will be in place to guide drivers and pedestrians safely through the work zone. All roadway users are advised to stay alert and be observant of signage, and work zones while traveling in this area. Drivers are urged to use caution as they travel in these areas, to anticipate moderate delays, and to be mindful of construction personnel.
