Weekend Preventative Maintenance Work on Southwest Freeway over 7th Street SE to Cause Lane Closures, Expect Delays
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on Southwest Freeway over 7th Street SE for bridge preventive maintenance construction activities from December 7 to December 8, 2024, weather permitting.
Operation hours are listed below:
SW Freeway SB/NB over 7th St. SE (BR 1400), temporary single lane closures from Saturday. December 7 to Sunday, December 8, 2024, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM , weather permitting for bridge preventive maintenance work.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
