Upcoming DC PLUG Feeder 15166 Lane Closures
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises stakeholders to expect delays due to upcoming lane closures for work related to the DC Power Line Undergrounding (DC PLUG) initiative.
Lane closures are listed below and take place weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. as weather permits:
Temporary southbound lane closure from the 2900 to 3000 blocks of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE between Malcolm X Avenue SE and Lebaum Street SE from December 4, 2024, to January 31, 2025.
Temporary southbound and northbound lane closures from the 500 block of Lebaum Street SE between Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and 5th Street SE from December 6, 2024 to January 31, 2025.
Temporary southbound and northbound lane closures from the 600 block of Mellon Street SE between Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and 5th Street SE from December 6, 2024 to January 31, 2025.
Temporary westbound and eastbound lane closures in the 500 Block of Malcolm X Avenue SE between Newcomb Street SE and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE from December 6, 2024, to January 31, 2025.
This work is necessary to complete the DC PLUG initiative’s Feeder 15166 project which consists of undergrounding powerlines for a more resilient DC.
