DC DMV's Job Prep Workshop Recap
This past month, DMV's human resources and training teams led two job prep workshops for District residents that focused on important topics when looking and interviewing for a new job. The sessions focused on how to answer common interview questions, interview "do’s and don’ts," and resume preparation tips and best practices.
Over 40 people attended the two workshops on September 19 and 21. Attendees also provided their feedback about the job workshop and the results are in!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the workshops, including DMV’s Training, HR, Administrative Services, Communications and Support Services teams! The workshops received positive feedback from attendees as they asked good questions, shared their personal experiences and received information about resumes and interviewing that they can use immediately. This event was a team effort and went smoothly because of the work of each of YOU. Watch the event recap here.

REAT Celebrates DEI
DC DMV's Racial Equity Action Team (REAT) plays a crucial role in fostering an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued, respected and empowered.
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), a time to recognize the contributions of workers with disabilities, raise awareness about the challenges they face in the workplace, and advocate for greater inclusion and accessibility in employment. NDEAM is a celebration of the skills, talents and resilience of people with disabilities.
Let’s use this month to promote accessibility, celebrate diversity and stand in solidarity with workers with disabilities. Attend a NDEAM event, support disability-owned businesses or donate to organizations that advocate for the rights of workers with disabilities. Together, we can work towards a society that values and respects the contributions of all its members.
