Traffic Advisory: Night Work to Close Lanes on DC 295 Sept. 30 to Oct. 4
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close traffic lanes on DC 295 in both the southbound and northbound directions for the removal of old weigh station components and the installation of new weigh station components from Sept. 30 to Oct. 4, 2024, weather permitting.

Left Shoulder, Left Lane, and Middle Lane Closure on Southbound DC 295 from DC Water Facility/Overlook Dr to Truck Weight/Scale Station – Removal of existing scales and installation of new scales. Sept. 30 to Oct. 1, 2024, during the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., weather permitting.

Right Lane, Middle Lane, and Right Shoulder Closure on Northbound DC 295 from DC/MD Line to Exit 1 – Removal of existing scales and installation of new scales. Oct. 1 to Oct. 3, 2024, during the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., weather permitting.

Left Shoulder, Left Lane, and Middle Lane Closure on Northbound 295 from DC/MD Line to Exit 1 – Removal of existing scales and installation of new scales. Oct. 3 to Oct. 4, 2024, during the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., weather permitting.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. The public should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling in the work area and to pay attention to the detour signs that will be in place.
