Roadway Work on DC 295 to Cause Night Lane Closures Sept. 23 to Sept. 26
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close traffic lanes on the southern end of I-295 southbound direction for roadway work from Sept. 23rd to Sept. 27, 2024, weather permitting.
- Right shoulder, right lane, and middle lane closure on southbound DC 295 from DC Water Facility/Overlook Dr to Truck Weight/Scales
- Sept. 23 to Sept. 24, during the hours of 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., weather permitting.
- Middle lane, left lane, and left shoulder closure on southbound DC 295 from DC Water Facility/Overlook Dr to Truck Weight/Scale Station
- Sept. 25 to Sept. 26, 2024, during the hours of 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM, weather permitting.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Drivers should expect
delays due to the lane closures.The public is advised to stay alert while traveling around the work area and to pay attention to the detour signs that will be in place.
