Lane Closures on I-66 Oct. 4 – 5 for Overhead Sign Installation: Drivers Urged to Stay Alert
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be installing overhead signs on I-66 (Potomac River Freeway) northbound which will require multiple lane closures between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.on the District’s highway network on Friday, October 4, 2024, and Saturday, October 5, 2024; weather permitting.
Three rotating lane closures will be in place during this time and work may be moved to the next day depending on weather and on-site conditions.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers as they approach the areas.
Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the installation personnel.
