DPR to Close on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, for an All-Staff Day of Professional Development

 

(WASHINGTON, DC) –The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) announced that all DPR facilities will be closed on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, for DPR's annual All-Staff Professional Development Conference.

All recreation and community centers, aquatics facilities, and DPR administrative offices will be closed. All parks, playgrounds, athletic courts, and fields will be open. Previously permitted events in outdoor spaces will take place as scheduled.

DPR employees at the conference will receive professional training, celebrate colleagues and accomplishments, and set goals to continually provide high-quality service through DPR facilities, programs, and events.

All DPR facilities will resume normal business hours on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
