Traffic Advisory: Temporary Lane Closure on DC 295 Southbound Sept. 16 to 20
(WASHINGTON, DC) —
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close right shoulder lanes on the southern end of I-295 southbound direction for installation of signs and sign foundations from Sept. 16 to Sept. 20, 2024, weather permitting.
- Right Shoulder Closure on Southbound 295 from DC Water Facility/Overlook Dr to Truck Weight/Scale Station
- From 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., weather permitting
- Right Lane Closure on Northbound 295 from Overhead Message sign to Exit 1 –
- From 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Drivers should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures and are advised to stay alert while traveling around the work area. Detour signs will be in place to help navigate traffic.
