Traffic Advisory: Temporary Northbound and Southbound Lane Closures on Newcomb Street SW, Malcolm X Avenue SE Aug. 11 - Sept. 11
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises stakeholders to expect delays due to upcoming northbound and southbound lane closures on the 2800 to 2900 blocks of 2nd Street SE between Newcomb Street SW and Malcolm X Avenue SE from Aug. 11 to Sept. 11, 2024, weather permitting.
The closures allow for safe installation of manholes, conduits and asphalt base restoration necessary to complete the DC Power Line Undergrounding (DC PLUG) initiative’s Feeder 15166 project consisting of undergrounding powerlines for a more resilient DC.
