Please also note the following renewal information regarding Continuing Education (CE) requirements for Interior Designers:

The District of Columbia Board of Architecture, Interior Design, and Landscape Architecture mandates a total of 10 contact hours of continuing education to renew your license.

Note: This requirement applies to all applicants for the renewal or of a license to practice interior design, except those applicants seeking the first renewal of a license granted by examination. A renewal applicant must attest to having completed 10 hours of credit in approved continuing education programs during the term of the license (November 1, 2022 – October 31, 2024). To qualify for approval by the Board, a continuing education program must be prepared, offered, administered, or accepted by an entity approved by the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) or accepted by an entity approved by the Council for Interior Design Qualification (CIDQ).

After your license renewal has been approved you will be able to view your license using the Occupational and Professional Licenses application platform. Once logged in, click on the “My Licenses” tab. Along with viewing your license, you will also be able to print it.

Thank You.
