Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge Preventative Maintenance July 24 to Aug. 3
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close lanes on the following roadways for bridge preventative maintenance construction activities beginning Wednesday, July 24 through Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, weather permitting.
Operation hours and locations are listed below:
Francis Case Bridge over Potomac River-BR.1113 (Ramp E)
Single lane needed on Francis Case Bridge Ramp E. A proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, on Wednesday July 24 through Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024.
Maine Ave underneath Francis Case Bridge -BR.1113
Single lane needed on Maine Ave. A proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, on Wednesday, July 24 through Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024.
12th Street Ramp over Maine Ave-BR.1113 (Ramp E)
Single lane needed on 12th Street Ramp SW. A proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, on Wednesday, July 24 through Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024.
Francis Case Bridge over Potomac River -BR.1113
Single lane closure needed for both I-395 NB/SB. A proper variable message board and detour signs will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, on Wednesday, July 24 through Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
