Traffic Advisory: DC PLUG Feeder 15009 Lane Closures June 17 to July 17
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises stakeholders to expect delays due to upcoming land and sidewalk closures for the installation of tapholes and transformer enclosures. Residents in the area will have continued access to their homes. DDOT encourages the public to adhere to all “NO Parking” signs.
Closures will take place in the following locations:
727 Whittier Street between Piney Branch Road and 7th Street NW 300-304 Aspen Street between 4th Street NW and Blair Road NW 6718 3rd Street between Blair Road and Whittier Street NW
The lane and sidewalk closures are estimated to last 1 month (weather permitting). This work is necessary to complete the DC PLUG initiative’s Feeder 15009 project which consists of undergrounding powerlines for a more resilient DC.
