Dear DC Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors Licensee,
Your license can be renewed online using this link: RENEWAL LINK. If you do not already have one, you will first need to create an Access DC account by clicking the Sign-Up Link. Please note that Continuing Education requirements shall apply to all applicants for the renewal of a license, except those applicants seeking first renewal of a license granted by examination. You must still RENEW YOUR CURRENT LICENSE by following the process outlined in your renewal notice email, even if you do not owe any CE requirement.
Professional Engineers shall attest to having completed no less than twenty (20) hours of acceptable continuing professional education, to include at least one (1) hour about professional ethics, during the term of the license.
Land surveyors shall attest to having completed no less than twelve (12) hours of acceptable continuing professional education during the term of the license, to include no less than eight (8) hours of surveying education specific to the District of Columbia; and at least one (1) hour about professional ethics.
YOUR CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION CREDITS MAY BE SUBJECT TO AUDIT FOR UP TO 4 YEARS. YOU SHOULD RETAIN APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTATION TO VERIFY THE CPE CREDITS YOU HAVE REPORTED.
