Traffic Advisory: Temporary Lane Closures on Connecticut Avenue NW February 18 through February 29, 2024
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close travel and parking lanes for utility construction on Connecticut Avenue NW between California Street NW and Dupont Circle, as well as on the 1600 and 1700 blocks of 20th Street NW. The closure will be in effect from February 18 to February 29, 2024, weather permitting.
The closures are needed for utility test holes to locate existing underground utilities in the roadway and sidewalk areas. The contractor is authorized to work Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Traffic control devices will be in place. Motorists should anticipate moderate delays due to the lane closures. All roadway users are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and observe the work zone.
