Temporary Lane Closures on I-295 Southbound & Northbound from Tuesday, December 12, 2023, to Thursday, April 11, 2024

(WASHINGTON, DC) —The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will conduct periodic lane closures in the right lanes of southbound and northbound I-295 beginning September 12, 2023, and ending April 11, 2024, weather permitting.

Closures will occur daily from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The closures are necessary as part of the ongoing Lane Place NE Pedestrian Bridge project.
