Temporary Road Closures on Sheridan Street, NW, and 5th Street, NW for DC PLUG Feeder 15009 Beginning November 7, 2023
(WASHINGTON, DC) —The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises stakeholders to expect delays due to upcoming roadway restoration of Milling and Paving. All residents will keep access to their homes. Please adhere to all NO Parking signs.

On November 8 and 9, 2023, Milling and Paving will begin from the 400 block of Sheridan Street, NW, between 3rd and Sheridan and 5th and Sheridan Street, NW and from the 6200, 6300, 6400, and 6500 blocks of 5th Street, NW, between 5th and Rittenhouse Street, NW, and 5th and Van Buren Street, NW, from Wednesday to Thursday from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Restoration is estimated to take 3 days to complete (weather permitting). Roadway restoration Milling and Paving is necessary to complete the DC PLUG initiative’s Feeder 15009 project which consists of undergrounding powerlines for a more resilient DC.
