Temporary Lane Closures in Multiple Locations, September 18 through September 30, 2023
(WASHINGTON, DC) —The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge preventative maintenance construction activities beginning Sunday, September 18 through September 30, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting:
- New York Avenue over Amtrack and Parking Lot - BR.563
- 14th Street Bridge NB/SB I-395 - BR.177
- Michigan Avenue NW over Hobert Place NW - BR.0046
- Southern Avenue SE over Suitland Parkway - BR.0070
- Klingle Road over Rock Creek - BR.26-3
- Ohio Drive SW under I-395 - BR.169-1
- I-395 HOV over Ohio Drive SW - BR.169-1
- Key Bridge over Potomac River - BR.0007
- Scale Gate Road NE over North Capitol Street - BR.42
Proper variable message boards will be in place to notify the public of changes, and traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures, stay alert while traveling through these locations, and be observant of the inspection personnel.
