Temporary Lane Closures on the Francis Scott Key Bridge
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways to facilitate bridge inspections:
The Francis Scott Key Bridge over the Potomac River, a right lane closure of the Northbound lanes or Southbound lanes of the Key Bridge over the Potomac will occur on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 through Friday, July 21, 2023, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM for bridge inspection, weather permitting. The right lane closures in each direction will not be concurrent.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
