Temporary Lane Closures for Radio Replacement of LED Flashing Chevron Signs on March 23, 2023
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be conducting a series of radio replacement of LED flashing chevron alignment signs on westbound and east bound on I-695 at 11th Street Bridge on the District’s highway network from Thursday, March 23, 2023. These activities will require single and/or multiple lane closures and take place during off-peak hours between 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., weather permitting.
The required lane closures and installation activities are scheduled to occur as follows:
Replacing radios on six Chevron Alignment signs (W1-8) sequentially spaced at 120ft intervals on I-695 westbound on the existing barrier

Replacing radios on five Chevron Alignment signs (W1-8) sequentially spaced at 120ft intervals on I-695 eastbound on the existing barrier
Thursday, March 23, 2023
There will be a right lane closure.
On any day which on-site conditions prohibit closures in the areas noted above, the daily activities will be completed the following day when conditions permit.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn motorists as they approach the areas.
Motorists are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the installation personnel.
