DDOT Traffic Advisory: Temporary Lane Closures for Routine Maintenance through March 10, 2023

Temporary Lane Closures for Routine Maintenance  through March 10, 2023

(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:

 Northbound I-295 under 11^th Street, S.E. and I-295 Southbound Ramp to 11^th St., S.E., right shoulder closure under 11^th Street, S.E. and I-295 Southbound Ramp to 11^th St., S.E. on Tuesday, March 7^th, 2023, during the hours of 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Northbound I-295 Ramp to Northbound I-695 under 11^th St., S.E., left shoulder closure of the Northbound I-295 Ramp to Northbound I-695 under 11^th St., S.E. on Tuesday, March 7^th, 2023, during the hours of 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

9^th Street Expressway, S.W. under D Street, S.W., alternating right and left lane closures of 9^th Street Expressway, S.W. under D Street, S.W. on Wednesday, March 8^th, 2023, during the hours of 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

 Ramp from Eastbound I-66/Northbound Potomac River Freeway to Whitehurst Freeway over the Potomac Parkway and Rock Creek, narrowing/partial lane closure of the ramp from Eastbound I-66/Northbound Potomac River Freeway to Whitehurst Freeway over the Potomac Parkway and Rock Creek on Thursday, March 9^th, 2023, during the hours of 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

29^th Street, N.W. under Ramp from Eastbound I-66/Northbound Potomac River Freeway to Whitehurst Freeway, alternating right and left lane closures with a flagging operation on 29^th Street, N.W. under Ramp from Eastbound I-66/Northbound Potomac River Freeway to Whitehurst Freeway, on Thursday, March 9^th, 2023, during the hours of 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

 Southbound I-695 over Anacostia River left lane closure of Southbound I-695 over Anacostia River followed by right lane closure of Southbound I-695 over Anacostia River on Friday, March 10^th, 2023, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.  Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
