Eastbound Lanes Detour on Ordway St NW between Connecticut Ave NW and 29^th St NW

(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close a single lane along Ordway St NW, between Connecticut Ave NW and 29^th St NW, beginning February 3, 2023, and continuing through May 3, 2023, weather permitting.

As part of the Cleveland Park Streetscape and Drainage project, on Friday, February 3, 2023, weather permitting, the contractor will begin drainage work on Ordway St. NW.  The eastbound parking and travel lane along Ordway St NW between Connecticut Ave and 29^th St will be closed 24 hours a day.

Traffic will detour at the 34^th St NW and Ordway St NW Intersection to Macomb St following to Connecticut Ave back to Ordway St NW. Residential, alley and access to businesses along the project corridor will be maintained, and detour signs will be in place to guide traffic through the construction zone. This work will continue for approximately 3 months.

Traffic controls will be in place to guide motorists, cyclist, and pedestrians safely through the work zone. All users of the roadway are advised to stay alert, be observant of signage and expect delays while traveling in this area.
