Temporarily Lane Closures in Multiple Locations Through Thursday, December 16, 2022
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close lanes on the following roadways for bridge preventative maintenance construction activities beginning December 5 through December 16, 2022, weather permitting.
Operation hours and locations are listed below:
Theodore Roosevelt Bridge Ramps C, D and E to/from Rte 50- BR.1200- Theodore Roosevelt Bridge Ramps C, D & E to/from Rte 50- partial ramp closures needed for both Eastbound Ramp C and Westbound Ramp D and E. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Ramp will remain open to traffic but will be partially closed to facilitate work underneath the ramps. Partial ramp closures will be between the hours of 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, weather permitting on Monday, December 5 through Friday, December 16, 2022.
Rhode Island Ave NW over North Capitol Street- BR.051, single lane closures needed on both Rhode Island Ave and underneath on North Capitol Street for emergency repairs. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, December 5 through Friday, December 16, 2022.
14th Street NB & SB over Potomac River and I-395- BR. 1134 & BR.1134A, single lane closures needed on 14th Street Northbound and Southbound. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting on Monday, December 5 through Friday, December 16, 2022.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
