Emergency Night Time Lane Closure Notification for the Rehabilitation of 16th St. Bridge over Piney Branch, Pkwy, NW Project
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) anticipates the implementation of the following emergency temporary lane closure on the 16th Street Bridge, as part of the on-going 16th Street Bridge rehabilitation work, on Monday, December 5, 2022, and to last thru Friday December 9, 2022, Nights, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM each night, weather permitting to necessitate the following:
- To remove Phase 4 Management of Traffic (MOT) - Traffic will be taken down to one lane in each direction on 16th for the duration of the operation.

Tuesday December 6 and Wednesday December 7, 2022 (intended nights of MOT actual work)
- Starting 7pm until 5am each night.
- Operation: Remove Traffic Barrier Wall and re-stripe entire work zone

All days except for Tuesday and Wednesday are backup nights for inclement weather.
Please note that all other previously published Lane closure advisories for this project still remain in effect and unchanged.
Motorists are urged to obey traffic advisory instructions and use caution as they travel in these areas, to anticipate moderate delays, and to be mindful of construction personnel.
