DDOT Lifts Weight Restrictions on The Teddy Roosevelt Bridge
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises motorists that the 10-ton weight restriction limit at Teddy Roosevelt Bridge was lifted today, Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
Teddy Roosevelt Bridge is now open for through traffic to all passenger vehicles, and bus operators can resume their normal operations. As a reminder, trucks and oversize overweight vehicles are still prohibited from crossing the bridge.
A right lane closure has been implemented in outbound lanes as DDOT works to complete non-critical repairs. Drivers should anticipate light delays due to this closure. Traffic controls will be in place to warn approaching drivers, who are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of working personnel.
