Emergency Night Time Lane Closure Notification for the Rehabilitation of 16th St. Bridge over Piney Branch, Pkwy, NW Project

(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) anticipates the implementation of the following emergency temporary lane closure on the 16th Street Bridge, as part of the ongoing 16th Street Bridge rehabilitation work, on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, and Thursday, December 01, 2022, Nights, weather permitting to necessitate the following:  

To remove Phase 4 Management of Traffic (MOT) - Traffic will be taken down to one lane in each direction on 16^th for the duration of the operation.

• Wednesday 11/30/22
  • Starting 7pm until 12/01 at 5am
  • Operation: Remove Traffic Barrier Wall
• Thursday 12/01/22
  • Starting 7pm until 12/02 at 5am
  • Operation: Remove all remaining MOT devices and re-stripe entire work zone

Please note that all other previously published Lane closure advisories for this project still remain in effect and unchanged.  

Motorists are urged to obey traffic advisory instructions and use caution as they travel in these areas, to anticipate moderate delays, and to be mindful of construction personnel.
