2022 Electronic W-2 Information
Employees of the Government of the District of Columbia may choose to receive their 2022 Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement, online through PeopleSoft. Please read this entire notice and instructions on how to provide your consent to receive current and future years’ W-2 statements electronically.
Benefits of Receiving Form W-2 Electronically - There are multiple benefits to receiving an electronic Form W-2:
- Immediate access to the Form W-2. Employees who sign up and consent will be able to obtain their 2022 W-2 online through the Peoplesoft self-service portal. Staff will be able to print copies at any time without delay.
- Eliminates risk of Form W-2 being lost, stolen, delayed, or misplaced by the U.S. Mail.
Disclosure Notices
- An employee who consents to receive their Form W-2 online will no longer receive a paper copy. If an employee does not consent, they will continue to receive a paper copy.
- An employee who chooses to receive their Form W-2 online can withdraw consent to online delivery. An employee's withdrawal of consent will be effective the date withdrawn, and the employee will receive a confirmation by e-mail with the effective date of withdrawal of consent.
We are providing the attached job aid on how to access PeopleSoft Self-Service and consent to receive an electronic copy of the W-2 Form. If you have any questions regarding the 2022 W-2 form, your consent, or PeopleSoft access, please contact the OPRS Payroll Operations at the address below.
If you consented for any prior years, you do not need to go through this process for 2022. Once you consent for one year, the consent carries over to the future years.
