Temporary Lane Closures on Rhode Island Avenue and North Capitol Street to Start November 9 through November 11, 2022
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close lanes on the following roadways for bridge preventative maintenance construction activities beginning November 9 through November 11, 2022, weather permitting.
Operation hours and locations are listed below:
Rhode Island Ave NW over North Capitol Street- BR.051, single lane closures are needed on both Rhode Island Ave and underneath on North Capitol Street for emergency repairs. A proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting, Wednesday, November 9 through Friday, November 11, 2022.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and are advised to be observant of the inspection personnel.
