Director's Message

DC Nightlife and Hospitality Community,

Since the height of the Omicron wave in DC, COVID-19 cases have dropped by more than 90% and there’s been a 95% reduction in hospitalizations.

  • Yesterday, Mayor Bowser announced beginning today, February 15, 2022, indoors venues will no longer be required to verify that patrons are vaccinated ( businesses may choose to keep vaccination requirements in place).
  • The District’s indoor mask requirements will be dialed back on March 1, 2022 ( masks will still be required at any private business that wants to require use of masks by its employees or customers).

We thank you for your timely efforts to keep the District of Columbia safe. We continue to encourage everyone to get  vaccinated and boosted.

As we await the arrival of a vibrant spring season, we will continue to move forward because DC is the District of Comebacks.

Thank you for your continued support. If you have any questions, concerns or feedback, please feel free to reach out to MONC's team at   nightlife@dc.gov.

Sincerely,

Solana Vander Nat

Director, Mayor’s Office of Nightlife and Culture (MONC)
