Dear DFHV Stakeholders,
Today Mayor Muriel Bowser announced new orders in response to the current COVID-19 surge. Please review the situational update for December 20, 2021.
- Everyone needs to do their part by getting vaccinated if you haven’t yet and getting a booster if eligible. You can find a vaccine or booster at coronavirus.dc.gov/page/get-vaccinated
- Beginning Tuesday, December 21 at 6:00 a.m., the indoor mask mandate will be reinstated until January 31, 2022 at 6:00 a.m. Masks have always been required when driving or riding in a Taxi or shared ride vehicle.
- A new vaccine mandate has also been put in place, where all employees, contractors, interns, and grantees of DC Government must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and must have a booster. There will be no test-out option. DC Government will engage labor partners on a specific deadline.
- If you need a test you may obtain a home test kit at DC Public Libraries and other locations to avoid long lines at walk up sites. Find a test at coronavirus.dc.gov/testing
- DC Public Schools will be closed for students on January 3rd and 4th so students and parents will be able to pick up self-testing kits on those days
- DC Government is expanding COVID-19 testing sites, including 9 additional sites to obtain self testing kits (beginning December 22nd).
- DC Government is requesting property owners with space available to make that space available for testing or vaccination sites. Property owners interested in participating can reach out to DC Government at retailspace.dc.gov.
