DDOT Extends 2020 Annual Visitor Parking Passes

ParkDC Permits

Dear Resident,

If you haven’t already, please join the more than 35,000 District residents and visitors that have started using ParkDC Permits! It’s a new system that offers DC residents (and their visitors) online access to their visitor parking permits. This new system will help deter fraud and maintain parking for residents. ParkDC Permits are available to residents (and their visitors) on Residential Permit Parking (RPP) blocks in all eight wards. You can check if your block is RPP using our RPP Map

To give more time for residents to acclimate to the new system, the 2020 Annual Visitor Parking Passes will remain valid through January 15, 2022. ParkDC Permits combines the Annual Visitor Parking Pass and the Temporary (15-day) Parking Permits. 

The new Visitor Parking Permit on ParkDC Permits provides the following: 

  • If you have only one visitor: Unlimited use for one visitor at a time 
  • If you have more than one visitor: 2,160 permit hours for any additional visitors 

There are three ways to sign up for ParkDC Permits, pick the one easiest for you: 

To assign permits to vehicles, users will enter the date and time they want to park into ParkDC Permits. Permits must be printed and displayed on vehicle dashboards. You can either print your permits from your own printer or use one of the many free resources we’ve made available! Convenient public computers, printers, and kiosks are accessible across all eight wards.

You can:

  • Print at DDOT Kiosks at the DDOT Permit Office and MPD District Stations
  • Print at public computers and printers at your local DC Public Library
  • Use DC Public Library Remote Printing service  

Residents must have valid DC DMV-issued identification to use ParkDC Permits. If you signed up for ParkDC Permits with an expired ID prior to September 9, 2021 (see DMV guidelines), please go back into your ParkDC Permits account and enter your valid non-expired ID information to continue using your Visitor Parking Permit. If your identification is expired, you will see a “Verifications” section on your home page dashboard. Click “Verify” to update your ID information.
