What happens if I have cold or flu-like symptoms?

You’ve probably heard about the Coronavirus in the news. The health risk remains low for most people, but if you have cold or flu-like symptoms it is important to visit a clinic.

If you experience any of the followingvisit your doctor or a medical clinic in your neighborhood:

  • Fever
  • Cough or sore throat
  • Runny or stuffy nose
  • Body aches, headache, or chills

If you feel ill, here a few ways to stop spreading illness:

  • Stay home and get lots of rest
  • Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue
  • Follow your doctor’s advice

Only call 911 for serious or life-threatening emergencies. For most issues like the cold or flu, you will receive better care at a clinicWait times are shorter. Follow-up care is better. Also, there is probably one close by in your neighborhood.
