Dear Residents,
Last year brought great change for Serve DC. We evolved our mission and name to reflect our renewed commitment to service and civic engagement, thus becoming Serve DC, The Mayor’s Office on Volunteerism and Partnerships. With this addition, we widened our net to incorporate more innovation, collaboration, and strategic alignment – in order to better serve the residents of our city, as captured here in our 2019 Annual Report.
Now more than ever, as we embark upon the 20th anniversary of Serve DC, we are both excited and better positioned to identify and execute our ‘new, better and different’ approach to inspiring and curating service, volunteerism and partnerships across our city ̶ all while continuing to amplify stories of service and the “District difference” that our committed volunteers, partners and donors make in creating a fair shot for all.
In the year ahead, Serve DC will continue to build upon its emerging legacy of working alongside dedicated community partners as we elevate and enhance our civic engagement efforts and reinforce the value of service in addressing our city’s deserving residents and causes.
Please continue to stay connected with us as you aspire to contribute to our communities in meaningful ways; your support inspires us to keep doing what we do best, serve DC.
