You Got Served

Volume 1 | October 2019

Yours in Service

Ayris

Dear Residents,

It is often said, that you don’t start over, you start from where you are, and Team Serve DC continues to evolve and grow its mission, which makes for some really exciting times ahead. As we embark upon FY2020, we have been challenged to be more innovative and to expand our current networks to make sure over 700,000 residents are connected to their government.

As a first step, I am thrilled to relaunch our newsletter – You Got Served and look forward to finding more ways to engage with residents, business leaders, nonprofits and philanthropic partners, to promote volunteerism, partnerships and service as a sustainable solution to pressing social challenges.   We are lucky because the District is bursting with mission-driven and social impact oriented individuals, who share Mayor Bowser’s vision that all District residents deserve to have a fair shot at prosperity, and our goal is to ensure that we are doing our part to civically engage and connect those that are ready to serve!

From funding opportunities, to volunteer and service initiatives, to capacity-building programs for non-profits and residents, Serve DC- the Mayor’s Office on Volunteerism and Partnerships aspires to be your go-to hub, as you seek ways to contribute to our amazing communities.

Yours in service,
