Job Summary:
This position is designed to work collaboratively with the New Communities Initiatives (NCI) in the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) to screen participants for behavioral health concerns that may impact their ability to participate in employment activities or to achieve a greater degree of self-sufficiency, and refer as appropriate.
Requirements:
Applicant must have successfully completed a course of study in an accredited School of Social Work and have fulfilled all the requirements for the Master’s Degree in Social Work. This position requires one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level.

Description of Camp: This position is located in the Department of Parks and Recreation, in the Parks and Environmental Conservation Division at Camp Riverview. Camp Riverview is 200-acre beautiful oasis located at the confluence of the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay. It hosts programs for adults and youth throughout the year and a residential camp for youth ages 8-13 in the summer.
Requirements:
Minimum two (2) years of support services experience. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively. Self-motivated and enthusiastic. Strong time management skills. Experience working with traditionally underserved communities.
