Greetings:   The DC Historic Preservation Office recently received and filed for hearing the following historic district nomination:

 

19-05   Proposed Judiciary Square Historic District (ANC 2C)

  • Nominated by DC Preservation League

 

 The proposed historic district includes the following properties: Square 486, Lots 2, 3, 39 and 2004-2011; Square 487E, Lot 800; Square 488, Lot 843; Square 488E, Lot 800; Square 489, Lots 17, 800, 801,802 and 819; Square 489E, Lot 800; Square 490, Lots 38 and 830; Square 491, Lot 830;  Square 518, Lot 909; Square 529, Lots 810, 852, 7000 and 7001; Square 531, Lots 32, 33, 38 and 39; Square 533, Lots 831 and 832; Square 533S, Lot 800; Reservation 187; and parts of the 4th Street and the Constitution Avenue right-of-ways.

 

 

Public hearings for nominations are scheduled by the Historic Preservation Review Board as their calendar permits under the authority of the Historic Landmark and Historic District Protection Act of 1978.   This nomination is  posted on the HPO website at:  https://planning.dc.gov/node/1384901
