Join the DC Metropolitan Police Department's Deaf and Hard of Hearing Liaison Unit at the new Signing Starbucks for coffee and community building.
The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Liaison Unit is a team of dedicated officers that focuses on the public safety needs of the deaf and hard of hearing community. They provide sign language interpretation to aid deaf and hard of hearing citizens in their interaction with police officers. They also provide certified sign language interpreters to assist detectives in their investigations. They conduct patrol functions and respond to all citizen complaints.
When: Thursday, December 6th at 2 PM
Location: The Signing Starbucks, 625 H Street NE (Between 6th and 7th Streets)
